It then gives you the opportunity to analyse them for truth, insight or relevance. Our goal is to facilitate discussion from the stories you provide to help you explore and set a positive path forward.
As we mature most of us become more rigid in our thinking. Think of the last time you said to yourself, ‘I can’t do that because..’. or ‘That’s too hard, it’s easier to leave things as they are, besides I’m too old to change now!’ As coaches we’d say you’re never too old to learn, you’re already learning something by simply reading this!
We become adept at justifying our actions, perhaps ignoring our emotions, and finding thoughts or excuses to confirm our rigid beliefs. In a world where we already have too much on our plates and plenty to distract us, we either make excuses to either avoid being reflective or to take real action to change because we are comfortable with our firm views.
